The Colts were 10-6 last year, but that was with a healthy Peyton Manning.  This year, they might not have him at all, due to a neck injury.  The Colts still have to play the games though as they will be trotting out ancient Kerry Collins who they talked out of retirement.  Things don’t look good for the Colts in 2011, as the rest of the AFC South is going to smell blood in the water.  Most sportsbooks have taken this bet off the board because of Manning’s injury.  If you can make the bet….take the under.

The Colts won 14 games last season pretty much not even trying the last two weeks of the regular season.  That would make the 10.5 wins bet for 2010 look like an easy over play.  But I think the rest of the AFC South is looking a lot better for the 2010 season.  I would keep my money in my pocket as far as the over/under bet goes.  I would be willing to put some cash on the Colts to win the Super Bowl at 8-1 however.

The Colts have a good football team but other AFC teams have improved while the Colts have taken a small step backwards.  With Peyton Manning gimpy for the start of the season I can’t recommend taking the over.  Because, if he goes down to injury the Colts are toast. 

I know that it’s a little late to make this bet, but I would have taken the over. The Colts are a machine on offense. The Colts did let a lot of their defensive players leave but it won’t matter as long as Peyton Manning, Joseph Addai, Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne stay healthy.
