The Colts have a good football team but other AFC teams have improved while the Colts have taken a small step backwards. With Peyton Manning gimpy for the start of the season I can’t recommend taking the over. Because, if he goes down to injury the Colts are toast.
I know that it’s a little late to make this bet, but I would have taken the over. The Colts are a machine on offense. The Colts did let a lot of their defensive players leave but it won’t matter as long as Peyton Manning, Joseph Addai, Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne stay healthy.
1.  Take Peyton Manning to complete more than 21 passes……..he might complete 30!
2. Take Dallas Clark to score the first TD of the game………and you get 10-1 odds.
3. Lay 9-5 that Peyton Manning completes his first pass of the game.
4. Bet against any team scoring on three straight possessions……and you get 5-8 odds
5. Bet that Dallas Clark will score a TD in the Super Bowl…….you get 5-2 odds!
The over/under for Colts wins in 11 1/2. The Colts are currently 11-2 to win the Super Bowl and 14-5 to win the AFC.
I suggest a small play on the over as I project the Colts to win 12 games this season. That seems like a fair price on the Super Bowl too.
The Colts visit the Tennessee Titans on December 3rd. The Colts have had their way with the Titans covering every meeting the last three years. I don’t see any reason for this to change this season as the Colts still are light years better than the Titans.
