Indianapolis Colts 34, Jacksonville Jaguars 24

The Jaguars cut the Colts’ lead to 27-24 with only 1:54 left in the football game.  That is when Jags’ kicker Josh Scobee tried an onside kick which Tyjuan Hagler picked up and returned 41 yards for a TD to put this game on ice.  Peyton Manning was solid in this game for the Colts as he completed 29 of 39 passes for 229 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 INTs.  Donald Brown was the star of the show in this game for the Colts with 14 carries for 129 yards (9.2 ypc) with a TD run.  Dominic Rhodes pitched in with 9 carries for 26 yards (2.9 ypc) in this game.  Austin Collie led the way in the passing game for the Colts with 8 grabs for 87 yards (10.9 avg) with 2 TD grabs before leaving this game with a concussion.  The Colts finished up with 155 yards rushing on 24 carries (6.5 ypc) and they also completed 29 of 39 passes for 221 yards.

LB Pat Angerer (8 tackles) and safety Antoine Bethea (5 tackles, 2 passes defensed, 1 interception and 1 QB hit) led the way for the D in this game.  The Jaguars finished up with 67 yards rushing on 22 carries (3.0 ypc) and they completed 24 of 38 passes for 289 yards.  Mike Thomas of the Jaguars returned a punt 78 yards for a TD in this game so it wasn’t all good for the Colts’ special teams in this game.  With this win the Colts have tied the Jaguars atop the AFC South with a 8-6 record.

Indianapolis Colts 30, Tennessee Titans 28

Peyton Manning turned things around last night for the Colts and they needed him to overcome another poor effort from the defense.  Manning completed 25 of 35 passes for 319 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 INTs as both of his TDs went to Pierre Garcon.  Javarris James led the way for the Colts on the ground last night with 49 yards rushing on 17 carries (2.9 ypc) with 1 TD run.  Donald Brown pitched in with 38 yards rushing on 15 carries (2.5 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 24 yards (8.0 avg).  WRs Reggie Wayne (4 rec, 106 yards), Pierre Garcon (6 rec, 93 yards, 2 TDs) and Blair White (7 rec, 52 yards) led the way for the Colts in the passing game.  The Colts finished up with 87 yards rushing on 32 carries (2.7 ypc) and they also completed 25 of 35 passes for 312 yards as they had possession of the ball for 32:31.

CB Jacob Lacey (8 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss) and LB Tyjuan Hagler (6 tackles, 1 fumble recovery) led the way for the Colts’ D in this game.  The Titans finished up with 121 yards rushing on 25 carries (4.8 ypc) and they also completed 28 of 39 passes for 244 yards.  The Colts are now 7-6 on the season setting up a huge game next Sunday against the Jaguars at Lucas Oil Field.

Dallas Cowboys 38, Indianapolis Colts 35 in O.T.

Peyton Manning and the defense conspired to give the Colts another big home loss!  Peyton Manning completed 36 of 48 passes for 365 yards with 2 TD passes and 4 interceptions.  Two of his interceptions were returned for TDs by the Cowboys and his last one of the game set the Cowboys up for the game winning field goal.  Javarris James led the way on the ground for the Colts in this game with 18 yards rushing on 6 carries (3.0 ypc) with 2 TD runs.  He also caught 2 passes for 17 yards (8.5 avg) in this game.  WRs Reggie Wayne (14 catches, 200 yards, 1 TD grab) and Pierre Garcon (8 rec, 56 yards, TD) led the way for the Colts in the air in this game.  The Colts finished up with 40 yards on 17 carries (2.4 ypc) and they also completed 36 of 48 passes for 365 yards in this game.

The Colts’ D was on the field for 40 minutes in this game and they were pretty lousy.  Safety Antoine Bethea (15 tackles), LB Tyjuan Hagler (13 tackles) and LB Gary Brackett (10 tackles, 1 pass defensed) led the way for the Colts’ “D” in this game.  The Cowboys finished up with 217 yards rushing on 46 carries (4.7 ypc) and they also completed 18 of 26 passes for 151 yards.  The Colts are now 6-6 on the season as they have fallen 1 game behind the Jaguars in the AFC South.

San Diego Chargers 36, Indianapolis Colts 14

The Colts got dominated last night by the Chargers, plain and simple.  Peyton Manning completed 31 of 48 passes for 285 yards with 2 TD passes and 4 INTs (two were returned for TDs by the Chargers’ D).  He was awful and he was a big reason for the loss last night….but far from the only one.  Donald Brown “led” the way on the ground for the Colts last night with 11 carries for 24 yards (2.2 ypc) and they also caught 5 passes for 47 yards (9.4 avg).  Javarris James carried the ball 2 times for 0 yards and he caught 3 passes for 22 yards (7.3 avg) but he lost a fumble.  WR Pierre Garcon (5 rec, 72 yards), TE Jacob Tamme (7 rec, 64 yards, TD), WR Reggie Wayne (5 rec, 42 yards) and WR Blair White (4 rec, 34 yards, TD) led the way in the passing game for the Colts last night.  The Colts finished up with 24 yards rushing on 13 carries (1.8 ypc) and they also completed 31 of 48 passes for 279 yards as they only had possession of the ball for 24:22.

The defense did not play well for the Colts last night.  LBs Pat Angerer (12 tackles), Kavell Conner (10 tackles) and Philip Wheeler (10 tackles) led the way for the Colts on D yesterday.  The Chargers finished up with 129 yards rushing on 34 carries (3.8 ypc) and they also completed 19 of 23 passes for 172 yards.  The Colts are now 6-4 on the year.

New England Patriots 31, Indianapolis Colts 28

The Colts were down 31-14 with 10:23 left in this game before Peyton Manning led them on two TD drives.  He had the Colts in field goal range late in this game and he threw a horrible pass that was picked off by Patriots’ safety James Sanders essentially ending this game.  Manning completed 38 of 52 passes for 396 yards with 4 TD passes and 3 INTs.  Donald Brown led the way on the ground for the Colts in this game with 17 carries for 68 yards (4.0 ypc) and he also added 3 catches for 40 yards (13.3 avg).  Reggie Wayne (8 rec, 107 yards, TD), Blair White (5 rec, 42 yards, 2 TDs) and Gijon Robinson (1 rec, 1 yard, TD) were the Colts’ receivers who got into the end zone yesterday.  Austin Collie (5 rec, 60 yards), Pierre Garcon (5 rec, 62 yards) and Jacob Tamme (7 rec, 60 yards) also pitched in for the Colts in the passing game.  The Colts finished up with 71 yards on 20 carries (3.6 ypc) and they also completed 38 of 52 passes for 396 yards. 

LB Pat Angerer (12 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss) and safety Antoine Bethea (8 tackles) led the way for the Colts’ D in this game.  The Patriots finished up with 168 yards rushing on 34 carries (4.9 ypc) and they also completed 19 of 25 passes for 178 yards.  The Colts are now tied with the Jaguars for first place in the AFC South with a 6-4 record.

Indianapolis Colts 23, Cincinnati Bengals 17

The defense won this game for the Colts today.  The Colts forced 5 turnovers in this game and that was the difference as the Colts didn’t do much on offense in this game.  CB Kelvin Hayden led the way for the Colts’ D in this game with 9 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 pass defensed and a interception that he returned 31 yards for a TD.  CB Jacob Lacey pitched in with 9 tackles in this game.  Safety Mike Newton (fumble recovery), DT Antonio Johnson (fumble recovery), LB Tyjuan Hagler (interception) and safety Aaron Francisco (interception) all made big plays in this game for the Colts’ D.  The Bengals finished up with 72 yards rushing on 20 carries (3.6 ypc) and they also completed 31 of 42 passes for 269 yards as they had possession of the ball for 34:11.

Peyton Manning didn’t have the ball much in this game but he was working with a lot of short fields.  He completed 20 of 36 passes for 185 yards with 0 TD passes and 0 INTs.  Donald Brown (12 carries, 50 yards) and Javarris James (10 carries, 26 yards, TD) led the way on the ground for the Colts today.  TE Jacob Tamme (7 rec, 73 yards), Pierre Garcon (5 rec, 37 yards), Brandon James (4 rec, 36 yards) and Reggie Wayne (3 rec, 34 yards) led the way in the passing game for the Colts today.  The Colts finished up with 76 yards rushing on 22 carries (3.5 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 36 passes for 180 yards.  The Colts are now 6-3 on the year.

Philadelphia Eagles 26, Indianapolis Colts 24

The Colts looked out of sync in this game on offense and they were terrible on D.  Peyton Manning completed 31 of 52 passes for 294 yards with 1 TD pass and 2 INTs yesterday in one of his worst games in quite a while.  Donald Brown led the way on the ground for the Colts yesterday with 15 carries for 50 yards (3.3 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 47 yards (15.7 avg) in this game.  Javarris James pitched in with 12 yards rushing on 4 carries (3.0 ypc) with 2 TD runs.  TE Jacob Tamme (11 rec, 108 yards, TD) and Reggie Wayne (11 rec, 83 yards) led the way for the Colts in the passing game yesterday.  The Colts finished up with 62 yards rushing on 19 carries (3.3 ypc) and they also completed 31 of 52 passes for 276 yards.

Aaron Francisco (8 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss), Pat Angerer (7 tackles) and Antoine Bethea (7 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss) led a poor effort by the Colts’ D yesterday.  The Eagles finished up with 195 yards rushing on 31 carries (6.3 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 29 passes for 207 yards.  The Colts are now 5-3 on the year.

The Colts hogged the clock tonight as they had the ball for 36:25 and it was a big reason for the win tonight.  Peyton Manning was solid as usual completing 26 of 45 passes for 268 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 INTs.  Mike Hart rushed for 84 yards on 12 carries (7.0 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 19 yards (6.3 avg) before leaving the game due to injury.  Pierre Garcon (7 rec, 78 yards), Jacob Tamme (6 rec, 64 yards, TD) and Reggie Wayne (4 rec, 39 yards, TD) led the way for the Colts in the passing game tonight.  The Colts finished up with 107 yards rushing on 28 carries (3.8 ypc) and they also completed 26 of 45 passes for 259 yards in this game.

Defensively the Colts made some big plays to tilt this game in there favor.  LBs Gary Brackett (9 tackles) and Clint Session (8 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 pass defensed, 1 sack and 1 QB hit) led the way for the Colts’ D tonight.  Safety Aaron Francisco pitched in with 8 tackles for the Colts tonight.  CB Kelvin Hayden made a huge difference in this game for the Colts as he finished up with 5 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 pass defensed and a interception that he returned 25 yards for a TD.  The Texans finished up with 108 yards rushing on 18 carries (6.0 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 38 passes for 183 yards.  The Colts are now 5-2 on the year.

The Colts dominated the stats sheet last night but they had to hold off a very determined Redskins team last night in Washington, D.C.  Peyton Manning was his usual solid self completing 25 of 38 passes for 307 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 INTs.  Joseph Addai was incredible for once last night with 17 carries for 128 yards (7.5 ypc) with 1 TD run.  Mike Hart pitched in with 11 carries for 43 yards (3.9 ypc) in this game.  Pierre Garcon led the way in the passing game for the Colts last night with 4 grabs for 103 yards (25.8 avg) with a TD grab.  Reggie Wayne (6 rec, 71 yards), Austin Collie (7 rec, 57 yards, TD) and Dallas Clark (6 rec, 52 yards) also pitched in for the Colts last night in the passing game.  The Colts finished up with 170 yards rushing on 29 carries (5.9 ypc) and they also completed 25 of 38 passes for 299 yards.

Defensively, the Colts were better than usual but still not good last night.  CB Jerraud Powers led the way for the Colts’ D last night with 11 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 2 passes defensed and 1 INT.  Rookie LB Pat Angerer got the start instead of the gimpy Gary Brackett and he looked pretty good finishing with 11 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack, 2 passes defensed and 1 QB hit.  Linebacker Clint Session (10 tackles) and safety Aaron Francisco (7 tackles, 1 pass defensed and an amazing interception on the Redskins last play of the game) also had solid games for the Colts.  The Redskins finished up with 113 yards rushing on 24 carries (4.7 ypc) and they also completed 29 of 45 passes for 222 yards.  The Colts are now 4-2 on the year.

The Chiefs came to play on defense as the Colts didn’t score a TD until there was only 4:02 left in the game.  Peyton Manning was not sharp today as he completed 26 of 44 passes for 244 yards with 0 TD passes and 1 INT.  Joseph Addai carried the ball 17 times for 50 yards (2.9 ypc) and he also caught 5 passes for 39 yards (7.8 avg) before leaving the game a big dinged up.  Mike Hart finished the game and he was solid for the Colts.  He carried the ball 11 times for 50 yards (4.5 ypc) with 1 TD run today.  WRs Reggie Wayne (6 rec, 75 yards), Pierre Garcon (6 rec, 57 yards) and Austin Collie (5 rec, 48 yards) led the way for the Colts in the passing game today.  The Colts finished up with 97 yards rushing on 31 carries (3.1 ypc) and they also completed 26 of 44 passes for 244 yards as they had possession of the football for 34:25 today.

The defense actually looked pretty solid overall for the Colts for once today.  LB Clint Session (10 tackles), S Antoine Bethea (7 tackles) and DE Robert Mathis (6 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss) led the way for the Colts’ D today.  The Chiefs finished up with 113 yards rushing on 27 carries (4.2 ypc) and they also completed 16 of 29 passes for 148 yards.  The Colts are now 3-2 on the year.
