Indianapolis Colts 22, Tennessee Titans 20
The Colts always know that the Titans come to play and they did again yesterday giving the Colts a scare. The Colts offense was pretty sharp as usual. Peyton Manning completed 28 of 42 passes for 312 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 interception. RB Joseph Addai had another solid game with 2o carries for 81 yards (4.1 ypc) with 1 TD run. Marvin Harrison (6 rec, 87 yards) and Reggie Wayne (5 rec, 70 yards) each had solid games. But, Dallas Clark was the go-to man on this day as he caught 7 passes for 69 yards and a TD. Rookie slot receiver Anthony Gonzalez caught his first 3 NFL passes for 49 yards. The Colts finished up with 81 yards rushing on 22 carries (3.7 ypc) and they completed 28 of 42 passes for 300 yards.
The Colts defense moved a lot of defenders into the box to stop the Titans’ running game and they did a good job against the running backs, but Vince Young broke some nice runs. Safety Bob Sanders had a huge game for the Colts’ defense with 11 tackles and 2.5 sacks. The Titans finished up with 141 yards rushing on 34 carries (4.1 ypc) and they completed 17 of 27 passes for 172 yards.
