4. (136) Clint Session, OLB

Clint Session is the Colts type of player as he’s very aggressive. He has great instincts and he’s a playmaker as he often causes fumbles. He is only 6′, 233 pounds so he can be attacked by bigger blockers in the running game. Session will be a good special teams player for the Colts, but he wasn’t expected to be drafted so the Colts front office must know something the rest of the league doesn’t. It will be up to Session to reward the Colts’ faith in him.

4. (131) Brannon Condren, SS

The Colts needed help with run defense so they drafted Condren who’s a big guy (6′0″, 208 pounds) and he’s fast (4.47 40). Condren wasn’t expected by many to get drafted but Tony Dungy is a pretty good judge of defensive talent so only time will tell if this was a good pick or not. He played in 47 games (24 starts) at Troy State, and he made 175 tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, had 1 sack, forced 1 fumble, recovered 1 fumble, broke up 11 passes and had 2 interceptions. Look for Condren to help out in the box against the running game and to be a good special teams player.

3. (98) Quinn Pitcock, DT

The Indianapolis Colts needed help on the interior of their defensive line as they often got pushed around in the running game. But, Pitcock is too soft to really help stop the run in the NFL so his selection was a big reach in the 3rd round. Pitcock is 6′2″, 301 pounds and he plays hard all of the time…..but, he’s just not that good of a football player. In 49 games (35 starts) at Ohio State, Pitcock made 133 tackles, 27.5 tackles for a loss, had 14 sacks, batted down a pass and recovered 1 fumble. Pitcock has the look of a reserve tackle in the Pros.
