1. (32) Anthony Gonzalez, WR
You would have thought that the Colts would have been looking to add to their awful defense but they pulled a surprise in the first round and selected Ohio State receiver Anthony Gonzalez. Gonzalez will start out as the #3 WR for the Colts and he’ll likely replace Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison whenever he decides to hang up the cleats. Gonzalez is on the small side at 5′11″, 195 pounds but he’s really fast as he runs a 4.35 40. Gonzalez has great hands and he knows all of the tricks to get open. In 33 games (15 starts) at Ohio State, Gonzalez caught 87 passes for 1,286 yards (14.8 avg) with 13 TD grabs. This was a good pick for the Colts as Gonzalez was very underrated coming into this Draft.
