The Indianapolis Colts re-sign WR Aaron Moorehead

Blogged under Bloglockers, Front Page, General Colts Chatter by dawgpounded on Saturday 28 April 2007 at 9:12 am

The Colts have re-signed WR Aaron Moorehead to compete for the #3 receiver role on the team. He played in 12 games last season and he caught 8 passes for 82 yards (10.3 avg) with 1 TD catch. It’s likely that the Colts will draft a WR or two today to compete with Moorehead for the #3 wideout job.

The Indianapolis Colts re-sign DE Josh Thomas

Blogged under Bloglockers, Front Page, General Colts Chatter by dawgpounded on Tuesday 24 April 2007 at 9:24 pm

The Colts have re-signed Josh Thomas to a 1-year contract. He played in 14 games last season and he made 21 tackles, had 1 sack and recovered a fumble. Thomas is a decent reserve but the Colts would be in deep trouble if he had to start for any long stretch of time.

The Indianapolis Colts re-sign Guard Jake Scott

The Colts have re-signed guard Jake Scott to a 1-year contract. He deserved it as he started all 16 games last season for the Indianapolis Colts. In his three year NFL career, Scott has played in 44 games and started 41 of them for the Colts. The Colts should keep signing all of their offensive linemen as they always do a great job of keeping Peyton Manning’s jersey clean.

The Indianapolis Colts claim WR Craphonso Thorpe off of waivers from the Lions

The Colts are trying to find lightning in a bottle with this move. Thorpe has been in the NFL now for two seasons but he’s never played a down in a real game. Behind Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne the Colts are really thin at WR so Thorpe will get a chance to earn a spot on their roster this season.
