The Colts signed three reserves on defense and a starter on offense as they try to keep a lot of the World Champs together. Offensive guard Ryan Lilja was the most important player of this bunch that the Colts re-signed. He played in 13 games last season (5 starts). Lilja started all 16 games in 2005 for the Colts. He will battle for a starting job and if he doesn’t get it, he will be a very valuable reserve for the Colts.

DT Dan Klecko has been re-signed by the Colts. He played in 10 games and only made 4 tackles. But, he also plays fullback in the Colts goal-line sets and he caught a pass for a 2 yard TD last season. Klecko is a valuable guy to have on a team.

Linebacker Gilbert Gardner has been brought back for another season. He played in 15 games last season and he made 53 tackles and defensed 4 passes. He’s a valuable reserve who could see extended playing time now that Cato June has left the Colts in free agency.Â

Reserve DE Bo Schobel has also re-upped with the Colts. He played in 14 games last season and made 19 tackles and had 1/2 a sack. This was a good depth signing for the Colts.
