Colts offense shines in 43-24 beat-down of Texans
The Colts dominated the Texans on Sunday. Peyton Manning looked good as usual, completing 26 of 38 passes (68.4%) for 400 yards and 3 TDs. The Colts running game played alot better than last week. Joseph Addai carried the ball 16 times for 82 yards (5.1 ypc) and caught 2 passes for 22 yards and a TD. Dominic Rhodes carried the ball 14 times for 37 yards (2.6 ypc) and a TD. WR Reggie Wayne caught 6 passes for 135 yards (22.5 avg). Marvin Harrison caught 7 passes for 127 yards (18.1 avg). TE Bryan Fletcher and WR Brandon Stokley each caught a TD pass.
The Colts offense played ball-control and protected the defense which has not played well. The Texans ran the ball 23 times for 108 yards (4.7 ypc). The Texans completed 22 of 26 passes (84.6%) for 191 net yards thru the air.
The defense is looking bad this year, but the offense is out-scoring the opposition.
