CB Nick Harper out
Cornerback Nick Harper is out for Sunday against the Jets with a calf injury. The Colts really couldn’t afford this as Chad Pennington and his receivers are all playing well this season.

Reggie Wayne returned from Louisiana and practiced for the Colts. He looks to have a huge game against the Jets defense….maybe even a game like Brett Favre had after his dad died.
Look for the Colts to try to run the ball more this week than they have been. Peyton Manning could be without Reggie Wayne (due to the death of his brother) so look for the Colts to play it safe. Joseph Addai (123 yards) and Dominic Rhodes (114 yards) should find running room against a defense that is allowing 134.0 yards rushing per game. Look for the Jets to double cover Marvin Harrison (22 rec, 334 yards) all day if Wayne doesn’t play.
The Jets will try to run a balanced offense against a Colts defense that gives up alot of yards rushing (161.7 yards per game) and allows the opposition to be effective passing (92.7 opponents QB Rating). Look for the Jets to come out trying to run the ball with Kevan Barlow (108 yards) and Leon Washington. If they can establish a running game, Chad Pennington will run play-action passes and take shots deep to Lauveranues Coles (24 rec, 331 yards) and Jerricho Cotchery (15 rec, 219 yards).
I like the Colts to win a close game, but wouldn’t be shocked if the Jets pull an upset.
Reggie Wayne’s brother died Sunday morning and he’s left the team to be with his family in Louisiana. It’s unknown when Wayne will rejoin the team.
Coach Dungy said that Vinatieri could be back this week depending how he practices. Martin Gramatica was 3-3 on extra points last Sunday and would kick if Vinatieri isn’t ready.
