Joseph Addai (1, RB)

This seemed like a knee-jerk pick for the Colts who were desperate to replace Edgerrin James. Addai only has started one season at LSU and never rushed for over 781 yards. So there are multiple questions about his readiness to start at the NFL level and his ability to stay healthy. Addai seems to be more of a back-up/third-down back, and this was way too high to draft a player with that skill set.Â

Addai played in 50 games at LSU (only 18 starts) and rushed for 2,446 yards (5.2 ypc) with 17 TD runs. He also has caught 64 passes for 636 yards and 5 TDs.

Addai needs to step it up if he’s going to beat out Dominic Rhodes.
